Each school year the Community Baptist Church awards graduating high school seniors a one- time monetary educational scholarship. The educational scholarship is awarded to eligible members enrolled in a college, university, post graduation trade or professional schools. . This scholarship is disbursed upon students meeting the following standards:

1. Applicant must be an active member of the church with an established membership no less than one year
2. Submit a letter to the Community Baptist Church Scholarship Committee requesting the educational scholarship. Specify on your letter of request the address that you would have the church mail your scholarship check.
3. Include with your letter of request a copy of valid current school year information verifying your enrollment and/or registration in a college or university. (Examples: college schedule, copy of registration, letter from the Registrar or Dean)
4. Applicants must have participated in at least 1 ministry at Community Baptist Church.
5. Submit the following a 250-500 double spaced essay “ How has God and your Community Baptist Family been a part of your educational journey”
6. Email your completed Scholarship packet by July 12, 2026 which includes the above items to office@cbcnewhaven.org include your name in the subject line of your email
